Motorbike Tours
The tours will generally be over a long weekend with three days and two nights away to cater for those with limited holidays from their working week – probably leaving the Channel Islands on the ferry to St. Malo on Thursday afternoon and returning late Sunday afternoon. I will organise hotels (reasonable but not too expensive) and the battlefield, refreshments and meal stops.
The motorbike tours will be on specific dates and will be subject to a minimum number of guests attending so that the costs can be kept to a reasonable level. The tours will be either “Introductory” in the sense that they are not too long away from home and therefore not too far to go. There is a degree of leisure riding on these tours as to encourage riders who don’t necessarily use a motorbike as everyday transport.
The next level up will be “Advanced” for those riders who have been on an Introductory Tour. Greater distances are likely to be ridden but still with leisure still being paramount.
Introductory Motorbike Tours
- Normandy, D-Day and the Battle of Normandy
- Brittany, 1944 battles, commando raids and the Nazi U-boat pens of the Atlantic coast
Advanced Motorbike Tours
- The 1942 Dieppe raid, and the commando raids at Bruneval and St. Valery
- Western Front WW1
- Resistance and SOE operations in Vichy France
Dates and costs will be posted as soon as possible when available. Please contact me if you are interested in being kept up to date with motorbike tours for this year.
