Le Pinacle and Canal du Squez

Sited beneath a granite stack, Le Pinacle was a Neolithic manufacturing site based on the tool making remains found. Other remains from the Chalcolthic, Bronze and Iron Ages, together with the remains of a Gallo-Roman temple make this wild coastal site a very interesting one. Above Le Pinacle, are the remains of an ancient stream, the Canal du Squez, which provided Mesolithic hunter gatherers with a fresh water supply.
