D-Day Landing Beaches and European Battlefields

Commemoration or Memorial Tours, or Educational Tours for school groups visiting D-Day landing beaches and the other battlefields of Northern Europe which finally liberated the territories which had been occupied since 1940.

What would be easier than starting a commemoration, memorial or educational tour from your very doorstep in the Channel Islands? We are looking to devise some interesting tours of a generic nature to explore World War Two battlefields in northern Europe, and we will add where possible some Channel Islands interest or involvement. We can also help to devise a tour which follows a family member involvement in specific battles or campaigns. We will help you research where to go and what to see which will make your commemoration or memorial journey all the more special. Over the next 3 years, we will have the 75th anniversary of the battles and actions of 1942 to 1945, and so we can expect a number of special events planned in France, Belguim, Holland and Luxembourg, as well as Italy and Germany.

We haven’t fixed any dates yet, but if you are thinking of making a visit but don’t know where to start, or just want a guide to take you to all the right spots, please let us know, as your request may be the catalyst for one of the tours that we are generally thinking about now. We are happy to organise trips including children – we have found that the experience for them is equally rewarding as adults. The best tour that we have done was a commemoration involving three generations of one family all travelling together!
